mecalQ Lite is a mobile application for mechanical engineers, undergraduate and graduate students.
This application resides entirely on the local device and does not require network connectivity to use the application(except to email). The software can be used by a mechanical engineer any time there is a need to quickly look up a formula and/or compute.
mecalQ Lite has over 10 topics. Each topic contains one or more formulas. In each topic the formula expression is displayed with concise explanation of the terms involved. Each formula can be computed. For inputting values for the formula, the option to enter values in alternative units is available. For input variables that are properties, values can be auto-populated from a list of commonly used materials or contexts.
It has options to add formulas to favorites. Computed results can be emailed. Recently viewed formulas can be accessed from a tab bar button.Formulas can be searched as well.
The full version mecalQ adds many more formulas, more units and more properties.
